21 Apr 5 Minute Blueberry Green Apple Mixup
When you are starving, flavor can take a backseat to anything fast. But that doesn’t have to be the case. You could eat blueberries and an apple and call it a day, but when you take under 5 minutes to cut up the apple and add some great spices, you’re looking at a snack time fruit salad that’s deserving of being served any time.
The Granny Smith apple is crisp and tart, while giving you antioxidants, soluble fiber (which can help drop cholesterol, control weight, and regulate blood sugar), vitamins A and C, trace amounts of iron, and more! The cinnamon regulates blood sugar, fights cancer, and is an anti-bacterial. Nutritionally it provides manganese, fiber, iron, and calcium.

WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS
(Note: Use all organic, fresh ingredients if possible)
Serves 1
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ground ginger or ½ inch fresh, peeled and chopped ginger
1 green apple, sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries. (Frozen berries can be substituted if necessary.)
STEPS TO SOMETHING DELICIOUS
Wash the blueberries and green apple with a fruit and vegetable wash of choice. Set blueberries aside. Then wash the green apple and slice it up (when you do this last, it prevents as much browning).
