You don’t have to be a monk to meditate. A common misconception is that you have to be some sort of spiritual guru to get anything out of meditation. This is simply not true. Meditating is a way to tap into your inner self. We meditate to get good at life, not to get good at meditation.
WELCOME TO THE DARIN OLIEN SHOW
Emily Fletcher has taught over 40,000 people to meditate. And she can teach you.
As the founder of Ziva Meditation, Emily Fletcher has taught thousands of people how to meditate in ways that work for them. Besides being an expert in the art of meditation, Emily is also a best-selling author, sought-after speaker and a mother.
The Ziva method focuses on the three Ms: mindfulness, meditation and manifesting. Emily believes that learning how to meditate is an individual process and should be tailored to your wants and needs. I’ve been meditating now for several decades, but recently have felt a little stuck. This conversation couldn’t have come at a better time because I needed a little guidance to get me back on the right track. And there is no one better on the planet to give me that kind of navigation than Emily.
We could have gone on for hours. There’s so much to take away from this conversation. We touched on what made Emily fall in love with meditation, where it led her on her life’s journey and why she is so passionate about sharing it with others. She broke down why she considers meditation “tapping into your internal pharmacy.” And she explains why your version of meditation doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s version. Now, more than ever, we need to begin trusting ourselves again. We have to look past the fear, anxiety and restlessness and go back inside. And Emily is the perfect person to help us get there. So keep an open mind, take a deep calming breath and enjoy this incredible conversation.

Thank you for sharing your conversations and learnings from the incredible humans you interview. I’ve changed so many things in my and my family’s lives due to what I’ve learned from you through your podcasts, Down to Earth, and you’re Shakeology videos in our online Beachbody Coach Office.
I’m incredibly thankful for your diligence in creating and continuing to improve Shakeology as I’ve been a daily consumer of it for about 10 years!
I’m so excited to get started on the 3 day Ziva meditation training to help me feel more grounded and clear in my path. This was a great show!
Again thank you for the incredible work you’re doing and continue to do Darin!

Posted at 09:14h, 01 NovemberWOW! So much great information. .What mostly that struck me is the importance TO UNPLUG! using the tools to do just that. I have already unplugged from the news, media etc. I have become more healthier in meditation and mindfulness. Unplugging from any negative has always been my outlook and one of my life goals. Thank you, Darin and Emily.
