Sparkling Water | Fatal Conveniences™

The sparkling water market has boomed in the last decade, making carbonated water all the rage. While fizzy water seems like a healthy alternative to sugary sodas, it may not be as healthy as you think it is.

WELCOME TO Fatal Conveniences™. Website Fact - Drinking carbonated water can make you feel hungry because carbonation increases the production of the hunger hormone

Sparkling water is fun to drink. Those fizzing bubbles mimic the carbonation of soda, making seltzer a great way to kick the pop habit. However, carbonated bubbles are made using carbon dioxide, the same gas your kidneys and lungs work so hard to expel from your body. Carbon dioxide makes sparkling water acidic, with a pH between 3 and 5. All that acid isn’t exactly friendly to your body, especially your teeth and GI system.

Is sparkling water good for you?

So what is the answer? Is sparkling water good for you? Or is sparkling water bad for you? Well, that depends on how often you drink it. In this episode, I’ll break down the history of carbonated water, why it became so popular, and why it’s so fun to drink. But I’ll also go over the downside of fizzy water and what all that acid can do to your body. Look, drinking sparkling water is certainly better than drinking soda. But when it comes to hydration, it’s best to kick that fizzy habit and stick to the real stuff.
