20 Mar Punch Boring Water in the Face with Infused Water!
Drinking water is one of the best things you can do for your body. It helps regulate body temperature, promotes weight loss, protects your vital organs, and even makes you look younger. But drinking glass after glass after glass of flavorless water can become boring. The solution is to mix it up with infused water!
Infused water more flavorful way to get your H2O and can be loaded with fruits, veggies and herbs that can supercharge your water.
When combined with water, the fruits, vegetables, and herbs infuse up to 20% of their vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and more into the water (hence why it’s called infused water!). Infused water is an easy way to enjoy a healthy and flavorful beverage without the added sugars and chemicals found in most commercial flavored water found at your local grocery store or in the vending machine.
All fruits, vegetables, and herbs have their own therapeutic effects on the body such as flushing out toxins, supporting your digestive system, revving up your metabolism, regulating pH to help keep the body alkaline, and boosting your immune system, which is why infused water is a great way to increase your water intake and your health.
One important note: homemade infused waters will not contain an entire day’s worth of vitamins or anything extreme like the claims you’ll find on most artificially created “vitamin waters” with added vitamins and (worse yet) artificial sweeteners. Homemade infused water is all about 100% natural and subtle flavors with natural nutrients. Keep it simple.
Also, you can eat the fruit at the end of the day if you haven’t already eaten a lot of fruit throughout the day : ) You can also take it out and freeze it to add to smoothies later.
So how do you make infused water? Read on for some easy, health-packed recipes.
