Often, we can get hung up on an untrue self-narrative. In order to shake that off, we need to hold our noses, take the plunge, go deeper and discover our true worth.
This episode welcomes a truly unique, beautiful, complex and badass woman, Rainbeau Mars.
She is an author, Hollywood actor, model, yoga instructor, activist and natural health expert. Ever since her birth in a teepee under a double rainbow, Rainbeau Mars has been somewhat destined to bring a little color into our lives.
After a successful career as a model and actress of the stage and screen (you probably recognize her from the controversial 1996 hit, The People vs. Larry Flynt), she decided to pack up her Hollywood life and return to her roots. She wanted to live a life that centered more around her original upbringing- the constant practice of yoga, natural health and activism, with a little bit of acting still thrown in the mix.
Today, Rainbeau is the author of the highly successful book the 21 Day Superstar Cleanse, which outlines her signature zero-calorie-restriction vegan cleanse. She also has been featured on The Doctors, GMA, E!, Extra, and Access Hollywood. Her instructional yoga videos have sold millions of copies worldwide and she now stands as the CEO of Rainbeau Mars Lifestyles, an Omni Media Company.
In this episode, Rainbeau and I get really freakin’ deep. She opens up about the hard truths she’s had to face when it comes to her biological family and growing up in a post-hippy movement environment. We discuss how she gets to grips with her own unworthiness and insecurity, life in Hollywood and how sometimes something has to die in order to be reborn.
IN THIS CONVERSATION:
Why you should write your life story
What it’s really like to be the product of the ‘hippy revolution’
Healing yourself and owning your worth
A suitcase of cockroaches, a trip to India and a new path towards acceptance
Why you need death in order to experience rebirth
Life in Hollywood and why there’s truth in acting
Finding self-belief and taking action
This episode’s Fatal Convenience™: The Health Care System
